SLA Bylaw Proposal and Board of Directors Election

The SLA board of directors will present a proposed change to our bylaws at the August 12 Annual Meeting. We are seeking to move away from the "Restore the Lake" theme that we moved to in 2021 and revert back to a croader more balanced mission going forward. The proposed bylaw changes to be voted on are summarized in red text below. To review a full copy of the CURRENT SLA bylaws please click here.

Here is a summary of the proposed change:

Also at our upcoming Annual Members Meeting on August 12, the Sanford Lake Association and its members will be voting on certain board member assignments, for those board positions which expire on September 30, 2026. If you have an interest in running for a Sanford Lake Association board position, please send an email to the SLA email box including your name, address, contact information, and a brief bio summarizing your experience and qualifications.

Please note, if you want to run for a board position, and you are not already an SLA member, you must become a member in advance of the August 12 vote. Additionally, you must own property in Sanford that falls within the Four Lakes Special Assessment District to qualify. Link here to our email box and the positions being voted on can be found here. Three board members have chosen not to run again, we thank them for their service!
