Special Meeting and Voting Announcement
A special meeting for current members of the Sanford Lake Association has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 7:00-7:15 p.m. via Zoom. Please check your email for the invitation. During the meeting, the Board of Directors will present members with a proposed update to the association's by-law Section 3.1 to permit the association to increase the number of Directors from up to eleven (11) to up to thirteen (13). The purpose of the change is to provide more resources to the association in order to accomplish the many things that need to be done as we get closer to the restoration of Sanford Lake.
Each member will be asked to vote on the proposed change. The voting will be by electronic means and members will have up to five (5) days following the Special Meeting to cast their vote. A "yes" vote by a two thirds (2/3) majority of those who vote will be necessary to make the by-law change.
Old Language
3.1 The Board of Directors shall consist of six (6) Officers: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Director, and Public Relations Director, plus up to five (5) additional Directors-at-large. The Officers shall have duties as are usually attendant with their office and these by-laws.
